Allan B. Rappleyea sits down with Karen Maserjian Shan of the Poughkeepsie Journal to discuss the importance of creating pet trusts. Allan has executed the Boyd Pets Adoptions Project which focuses on providing “seed money” to the DCSPCA in order to allow the SPCA to properly care for animals in the event that their pet does not have alternative placement.

Here is a snippet from this article:

“Attorney Allan Rappleyea of Corbally, Gartland and Rappleyea in Poughkeepsie implemented the foundation that supports the Boyd Pets Adoptions Project program, the Susan P. Boyd and Darrel Boyd Foundation for Animal Welfare.

“I thought this might be a good purpose, where those that are very ill have concerns for what’s going to become of their friend and animal,” said Rappleyea, particularly as directives in Susan Boyd’s will included the creation of a foundation centered on animal care, reflecting her and her husband’s love of animals.”
